Deborah McGargle: Deborah qualified as a barrister-at-law in 1999. Ex-Siemens General Counsel and Techstars (Boston, MA), she is now Chief Legal Officer and part of the founding team at London based Seedlegals, a SaaS platform in the #legaltech space. Her other roles include being EiR at IGNITE, a trustee for Newcastle Tech Trust and a mentor at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.
Deborah has personally raised in the region of £400 million in startup funding for teams around the world, she is passionate about tech startups and scale ups, investment, artificial intelligence, disruptive technology, and supporting female founders.
John Cooke: UK and Ireland Business Development Director for Vistage International, the leading CEO network. Prior to Vistage, he founded InfoBasis, a company which provided skills management technology to business and public sector organisations including Aviva, Microsoft, BAE Systems, British Computer Society, NHS, RAF, Army, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Safeway. An accomplished mentor, John knows that whatever organisation you lead, there are some leadership fundamentals that can elevate you and your business. Seaforth Analytical Services was established in 2015 with Eddie McGeachie and Yuri Sukharevsky. Eddie and Yuri worked for IBM / Lenovo creating a supply chain centre of excellence for supply chain analytics in 2010 until 2015. Part of a small team of Subject Matter Experts they developed business analytical models that saved the company in excess $20M. They setup a company Aged 49 & 51 respectively – with one Client then grew this to several large corporate organisations over the last 3 years – the company has generated revenue of £1.3M.
Aimed at Start-Ups and SMEs, this event is part-funded by ERDF and so is free to attend. As a result of the funding, participants will be required to complete some project paperwork on arrival.
